In another year of national reforms to the examination system, students at The Wilnecote School are celebrating their successful GCSE results with the school maintaining and consolidating the significant improvement in outcomes achieved last year. Despite the increased rigour of the exams, Wilnecote students have performed well against national outcomes. Results in Mathematics, Computer Science, Science, RE, Music and Art were particularly strong.
Headteacher Sian Hartle congratulated the cohort on their hard work and commitment in achieving the very best in their time at Wilnecote. “I am incredibly proud of our students who have risen so successfully to the challenge of the new examination system and whose hard work and ambition have been recognised in these results. We wish them all the best whether they are embarking on further studies, beginning an apprenticeship or entering the world of work. Our Governors and staff would like to pass on their congratulations to them and we would all like to thank our parents for the wonderful support they offer us. As the new academic year begins The Wilnecote School looks forward to building on the success of this year’s results.”
