This week students from Year 8 and 9 have been participating in a project called ‘The Physical Fellowship’. Students have been working with the Highly Sprung drama company to create a physical theatre performance which they will perform at The Belgrade Theatre in Coventry on Tuesday 4th July.
Miss Julius, Leader of Learning for Performing Arts commented, “It is a really exciting opportunity for students to work with specialist physical theatre performers and to perform in a professional theatre. The students have been working really hard to create the entire performance (in just two days) and it has been a really exciting and rewarding experience for them. It’s been fantastic to see the student’s skills and confidence develop whilst they have been working with Ben Morley from Highly Sprung.”
The show at The Belgrade Theatre will be an amazing opportunity for students to show off their talents and is one part of The Wilnecote Schools’ annual Arts Festival. The festival is all about providing students with opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills in the Performing Arts. As well as the performance at The Belgrade Theatre you can catch the performance at the school Arts Spectacular on Tuesday 11th July.
